The Secret Life of Devalot
Devalot lives, although you wouldn't know it from just reading this blog. During the last year and a half there have been some interesting improvements made to Devalot, but I made the mistake of not kicking out regular releases.
That all changed a few weeks ago when Isaac Foraker (a long-time friend) stepped up to the plate and assumed the role of Devalot maintainer. If you're excited about Devalot, this move should make you very happy.
A Bright Future
Isaac has already made some great progress towards another Devalot release. He's been busy merging in features that he and other contributors such as Sam Lown have produced during the last year, as well as giving Devalot a new home and converting it to Git.
Curious about what's coming in the next release? Here are some places that you'll want to check out:
Idea Pool
If you've been sitting on a great idea for a Devalot feature, the time to speak up is now. Isaac has posted a call for ideas on the discussion group. Take a second, subscribe and post your idea.
Better yet, why not just post a thank you note and encourage Isaac to keep at it (apparently he likes money and gifts too).
